Overview
Crush may use AI-assisted systems and automated signals to help operate the app. These systems support matching quality, photo and text review, safety checks, and reliability. They do not guarantee a match, chat, relationship, friendship, or outcome.
Matching signals
AI-assisted or automated signals may help rank compatible candidates using profile details, prompt answers, activity, safety boundaries, and app quality signals. OpenAI can help turn profile text into matching tags and a numerical representation of that text.
With your permission, up to three approved profile photos can also be sent to OpenAI for broad activity, setting, and composition tags. Photo and text analysis run separately. The primary-photo suitability check is a profile requirement, not a compatibility or attractiveness score.
- Missing AI signals do not prevent an otherwise eligible student from participating in a Daily Drop.
- Eligibility, school, safety boundaries, compatibility, age and class cohort rules, blocks, reports, cooldowns, and active chat exclusions come first.
- Older safety-only photo permission does not authorize photo-context matching. Without matching permission, photo-context tags are not used.
- Meet and Pass activity can shape future suggestions. It does not override eligibility or safety boundaries.
Photo and text review
Selected profile photos are reviewed for potentially unsafe content. The primary photo is also checked to confirm that exactly one person is visible with a clear and unobstructed face. Crush does not identify users, compare faces, create face embeddings or biometric templates, or use the suitability result to rank candidates. Photo-context matching is a separate analysis with the permission described above. User-visible text may be sent to OpenAI to detect policy violations, spam, or abuse. Protected traits
Crush does not intentionally infer or score protected traits such as race, ethnicity, disability, religion, or body type for matching. If we identify a system behaving inconsistently with this policy, we may adjust, restrict, or remove that signal.
Human review and support
Reports, enforcement decisions, and support requests may be reviewed by authorized personnel. Users can contact hello@crushso.com about safety, account, or AI-related concerns.
Changes
We may update this disclosure as AI-assisted features or matching systems change. The updated date will reflect the latest version.
